 NNDC BEST PLACE TO EAT 2002

We are pleased to announce that Dave's Fish Restaurant has been voted 'Best Place to Eat' in North Norfolk by visitors during the 2002 holiday season. The award was presented at the Day Out in North Norfolk event held at Felbrigg Hall on Friday 21 & Saturday 22 March this year.

Keeping up the Good Work

On Thursday 20 February James Hyam from the Seafish Authority knocked on the door of our Co-operative Street Restaurant at about 10.30am. He announced to our staff that he had come to do a surprise inspection of our premises. After 4 hours of inspecting and questionning staff we are pleased to say that we passed with flying colours and are still the proud holders of the Seafish Industry Quality Award.

 

What's New at Dave's?

As you may already know our Co-operative Street shop closed on 27 January for 2 weeks for the installation of new equipment. I am pleased to inform you that our restaurant is now air conditioned ready for what I hope will be a fine, sunny and warm summer. We also have a new state of the art frying range which was installed at the same time. Preston & Thomas are one of the leading names in frying ranges for the fish & chip trade. Twenty five years ago I replaced my then existing range with a new P&T fryer at a cost of £5,000. Five years ago we installed another new 2 pan P&T range at a cost of £18,000. The new price of installation of a 4 pan range was frightening but I'm sure will be worth the cost, especially if it lasts another 25 years! In all we have invested another £50,000 to ensure that our standards are maintained at the highest level and to keep our customers as comfortable as possible.
